Fun fact: there's actually many accents within Brazil too! Didn't see anyone talking about it yet, but theres many ways to pronounce stuff here and all of them are correct. For example, some people pronounce the E vowel like English speakers, while other people (mostly from the south) pronounce it so it sounds like bold caps (that's the best way I can describe it srry-); I actually really like how our language is so diverse :P

cape verde: sounds half spanish half portuguese
asia: sounds like if a russian speaked portuguese (i couldn't understand most of it)
angola: sounds like portugal
central africa: sounds like portugal

The "Brazilian accent shown is, I belive, the Rio accent. Which has a certain musicality to it which makes it very pleasant to hear. But Brazil has many other accents and Portugal has as well even for such a small territory.
The one from Cape Verde in this video is not portuguese but Criolo, a language in its own right born from a mixture of Portuguese and African languages and as many have noted, East Timor here was represented by Tetum which is not related to the indo-european language family but has received portuguese influences specially as the vocabulary is concerned

Even in Brazil, we have all sorts of different accents. For example, the accent from São Paulo is different from the accent spoken in Minas Gerais, Rio de Janeiro, Pernambuco, etc.
