Ohh i see, I tried to solve it and got the steps correctly up until having to be able to input 1/4 manually. Ill keep that in mind

Didn’t think to let a = 1/4 to get rid of the coefficient and cancel out x^2, nice 👍

Hmm so making it 1/4 to get b by itself works. I did not know that.

I didn't get why a has to be1/4. How do you know it.

So I came across this equation.

1+y^2=2y^2-7 for some reason the answers are different depending on where you rearrange the equation. Am I missing something or is there just a rule in math for this?

2y^2-7-1-y^2=y^2-8

1+y^2-2y^2+7=8-y^2

(it was while i was doing extruneous solutions)

Poorly explained, because how do you know what the 1/4 is? Do you just pull this out of thin air?

Maybe you think it's nice and that it's a good idea, but the darkness you create on the screen is an unpleasant, disturbing, and very strange idea.
There is no teacher in the world or math channel that scares its viewers in such a way.
Please, stop this sudden brutal darkness, when you can only see one letter or something out of the whole question.
I'm even considering deleting your channel from my YouTube.
An unnecessary gimmick, and very disturbing. Does not belong to the modern age of mathematics
