When I was in highschool, the score range was around the 2400 scale, so I was briefly confused how absurdly low everyone is scoring.

Wasn’t able to take the SATs because of covid, but I had gotten 1100 on my 9th grade psat and my projected score was 1300

for those who don't know" SAT/ Scholastic Assessment Test " basically...it is a test to measure students' knowledge of math, reading, and writing.... so basically if ur an Indian and wanna go London for ur further studies u have to answer a text "SAT" ... so basically they check ur maths and english marks to see if u can fit their standards...

I got a 990 on the PSAT, got a 950 on my first SAT, took tutoring lessons for my second, was projected to get a 990, and got a 890 on my second SAT. Yeah, needless to say I didn't submit my scores when applying to colleges.

They’ve changed the SAT score range in the last 10ish years so 840 would have been out of 1600 and now they go higher than that

not assuming anything, but the sat can be more difficult for people who speak english as a second language. my friend from nepal was one of the smartest people i knew, did well in class and constantly tutored me, however my sat score was significantly better, especially in the english section.

Ngl as a college dropout whenever I get down I beat myself up over my initial 930 score which later became 1010. It's like yeah people may not hate you but it never helps to know no one around you got the same score. That guy honestly made me a little happy.

So the pattern is people generally will say 50-100 points higher than their own score ?

I took my PSAT in 8th grade and got 1130
