My ex boss was verbally abusive towards me. When I quit in 2018 I was nearly depressed

verbal bullying is not illegal. I found out when my ex employer sent a very nasty letter about me to a potential employer. After contacting the Labor board, EEOC, and another entity in my state, I learned that you basically have to be physically abused with witnesses, or some money has to be withheld illegally. And no lawyer will set up a lawsuit unless you are able to establish a case with the EEOC.

My old boss pressed me so hard. There was many days I went home wondering how I didn’t punch him in the face. He wanted the best. He whipped and drove me to be the best. I thank him for that.

I would’ve quit instead of waiting until I was fired.

Interesting how I came upon this video I to have been along my career going through these abusive boss they tend to hone in on people who are sensitive where can show their bullying who’s boss, what I learned is stand up to them but in a none argumentative way this way you won’t get( fired) hopefully and if so at least you stood up for your self and if it continues leave. Thank you once again for sharing

I hate general advice like this. It's so pointless and doesn't acknowledge the abuse of the person all. Victim blaming is abuse.

You don't need a free consultation from a lawyer and you don't need a lawsuit.
Maybe a complaint with DOL would be in order to be sure that your forced separation was "with cause".

Hey Kid, Man Up! This generation has NO clue how the real world is. No one should abuse you, but don't be a victim. "I am a Christian....but..." turn the other cheek, this is small potatoes.
