GIS Skills: ArcGIS Pro the Locate Tool

Up your GIS skills with today's episode of Tool Belt Tuesday where we are taking a look at the Locate Tool in this ArcGIS Pro tutorial. When I first started using this tool I was pretty frustrated at how slow it was to find features in my map. I will show you how to fine tune this tool to find those features quickly.

Chops: Love these quick and concise toolbelt videos!! Thank you for sharing! And now I know how to properly pronounce Zion. Being from Texas we tend to butcher a lot of pronunciations. Loved the segue to Angel Landing. My family and I completed it a few years back. I recommend leaving early before the trail gets crowded and take plenty of water if hiking in the summer. Narrows was fantastic too. Except when I lost one of my shoes.

Helpful video. How do I get rid of the little indicator point on the map--I can't remember although I think I have done this before? It doesn't show up on the layout, but really annoying on the map. Thanks.

Will you be covering functions or tools within features such as attribute tables? One basic function that is either missing directly there (or I'm literally blind) is how we used to be able to search directly from an attribute field. I have no idea why ESRI decided to not 1:1 the attribute functions from ArcMap 10.whatever to Pro. For example, I used to be able to search directly for particular manholes based on their designated MH number, and yet I still can't do this in ArcGIS Pro as fast as I could in old ArcMap.

I don't get any results at all from any search I try. Is there a setup that I need to do to initiate the tool or an extension I need? I am using ArcGIS Pro 3.0.2 Advanced License
