Hone your GIS skills in this edition of Tool Belt Tuesday where we will be getting into the Move Tool. With the move tool you can move selected features, and by using the anchor point you can snap the feature you are moving to other features. There's a bonus trick about moving the anchor point that you won't want to miss.

Very nice addition to the move tool. Plus additional explainations of the modify elements when the move tool is selected.

Really enjoying your stuff, glad I found you near the beginning of your Channel. As a fellow Southwesterner it's nice to see somebody else slowly going through the issues people commonly run into when coming over to Pro.

Are you planning on taking requests?

Thanks for the video. I have a polygon isolated into its own layer that I need to move. When I click "select features" for move to I get a blue triangle which says "Active Edit Tool is filtering the selection. Deactivate tool to restore this selection." I followed the link to ESRI but it doesn't do anything and I still can't move the polygon feature. Suggestions? I used to be able to this all of the time in Arcgis desktop all of the time. Thanks in advance

Until you showed me that trick of how to move the anchor point to a vertex, I was going crazy trying to get features to snap from vertex to vertex. Thank you, I won't have to check it to Bedlam insane asylum for now.
