Hi, it also depends on purpose and where the study area is located, say for navigation yes, but for dredging no.

Couple of things you didn't mention. How do you exit the "Add Control Points Tool"? and you do you close the Control Points Table?

Are there any advantages to georeferencing in the projection of the raster to be georeferenced, if known, and then reprojecting? Or is it acceptable to just georeference straight to your desired projection?

Very useful. Is there a way to abort adding a control point after the first click if you’ve clicked by accident?
