I'm a disabled vet and have terrible lower back pain from discs hitting my nerves. The va just keeps goving me freaking shots and isnt working. Then i tried to get them to send me to Florida i think to get surgery and the hospital 3 days before was supposed to get it done said they cant do it cause the va wont cover it. Im 100 percent service connected. Any help how i can get this done would be amazing. So sick of being in constant pain at the age of only 42.

i had an herniated disc that wouldnt let me walk...i got a shot of ozone directly to the disc...the disc turned from a grape to a raisin...now i have no problems and continue with my workouts in the gym 3 x week...the procedure is called discolisis in spanish

It’s so scary seeing a doctor not been fully honest about these devices, so let me bring some clarity.

I am involved in the design process of disc replacements. Yes they are better that fusion, No they are not effective and safe as this video aims to show, here what is happening:

Most of these disks designs are failing to include a damping system to add the natural cushion of the healthy disk. Because of cost and manufacturing limitations as well as novel material not yet approved to be placed in the human body.

Therefore the result is a simple/basic approximation that allows free movement (better than fusion) but that imposes too much range of movement in adjacent segments due to the lack of cushioning.

Better designs are coming, don’t fall for these basic ones

Chiropractic fixed my disc herniation and kept me from getting surgery again. If done right it is one of the best conservative options. I was so astonished with the results I became a chiropractor myself and currently work in an office that takes care of spines belonging to PTs, dentists, medical doctors, nurses, and pro athletes. Our pre and post xrays show proof of increased disc height and restoration of normal spinal curvature. The majority respond very well with decreased pain and frequency, improved quality of life, and increased sleep.

I have great benefits and good insurance. Im in great health, but constant pain with pain/numbness down one leg and total foot numbness. How do I expedite the process of "failing therapy" and being referred to a sooner than later surgery?

Can you have ADR at l4/l5 after a 2 surgeries? 1) microdiscectomy l4/l5 2013 and then another one to clean it up 2019. Now all the pain is back and I think the L5/S1 is doing something. 10 years now with low quality of life.

I just talked to my surgeon yesterday. He said they don’t use that device at all. It’s not effective so don’t listen to everything you hear on YouTube.

I have DDD and have very little disc left in L3, L4. Would this be something covered under TriCare or the VA?
