These places are rough!!

Now if you’re going to talk about the worst neighborhoods in Dallas - the list is really long.

If you ask any Texan what the best city in the state is, they’ll probably tell you Dallas. And it’s hard to disagree. Dallas is a hot city to be in - it’s home to America’s team - the Dallas Cowboys, some awesome restaurants and bars, spectacular museums and several colleges. It really seems like there’s something for everyone in Dallas.

So, it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks as one of the best places to live in the country and apparently 300 people move here every day. Of course, there are parts of the city you shouldn’t visit or move to...and that’s what we’re talking about today.

To measure the bad neighborhoods in Dallas, we have to use two things - data and opinion. We’ve looked at a bunch of data, you know - crime, poverty, the quality of schools and home prices. Plus, we took into account YOUR opinion - that’s right - you Dallas people have a lot to say about which places in your city are great and which are not so great.

As a Dallas native, there's maybe only two areas on this list that I'd agree with. You didn't get Webb Chapel, Forest Lane, Park Lane, West Dallas-Fishtrap area, Kiest and Polk and a lot of the hoods they have in Oak Cliff, OED, and the biggest Pleasant Grove. The Cowboys also play in Arlington, which is a suburb about 20 minutes west of Dallas.

So there's a correlation between poor schools, school achievement, employment preparation, this results in low wages and a large rental community and higher crime. So fixing any of these issue could reduce crime.

In my adult life, I've lived in Houston, Dallas, Nashville, and Indianapolis - there are very sad & frightening areas in all these cities. Poor schools w/ low graduation rates, poor salaries & lack of opportunities, & grocery store deserts. It's very sad.

If the median income is 26k these folks are working but theor jobs are low wage. Don't dunk on the poor dude.

Dallas is a good place to live. You can live South of Dallas it is not as bad as he is making it sound. I live in Dallas. Violence is anywhere even North of Dallas. And there are bad areas to live North of Dallas as well. So living in Dallas is what you make of it.

This video is disgusting! I literally grew up off Camp Wisdom and Polk, went to PRIVATE SCHOOL over there, used to walk to the corner store as a kid with my cousins, my family is from South East Dallas, from West Dallas, from parts of Oakcliff. Had you included anybody from these areas in this pathetic attempt to chronicle Dallas, they all would have told you that these areas are home to many people who are immigrants from other countries, the elderly, and the poor. They are good places to live but have some bad qualities and just like living anywhere you have to identify the dangerous parts and protect yourself.

I will never forget where I came from West Dallas born and raise. moved out in 97 with our family and has changed a lot.

Question;How would someone know the neighborhood bad if they never lived, hanged out or don't even know ppl in them neighborhoods?
I'm from Connecticut and I lived in dallas for 15 years with no family nor friends out here.
I met ppl and use to hang in all the bad areas in dallas and never had a problem or seen anything crazy.South dallas, in north dallas(forest lane) everyday and I'm on bonnieview almost everyday.

I think its disrespectful that ppl make videos and don't really know the neighborhoods._😤

I've lived in the West Dallas Housing Projects and the Oak Cliff Winnetka Heights Historic District just a few blocks from the first 7-11 in the world. I Graduated from Sunset High School in 1969 and was the first of my family to finish High School. I have an Associate Degree from DCCD.

I'm not ashamed of any of this, in fact I am proud of myself and my accomplishments.

Meh... I live in South Dallas a block away from Malcolm X and I think North Dallas Forest lane, Skillman and Audelia area is more dangerous than South Dallas.

Please tell me where this motel you show and claim to be in Parkdale/Urbandale is located. You obviously do not have your facts straight, and you are reporting falsehoods. Shame on you!
