Totally agree with these tips. I am retired so all my time is mine. I read 2 hours in the morning. I have a ‘tea time” at 2 pm every day and read for another 2 hours and another hour b4 bed. I’m with you that audio books is reading!! So far I have read 70 books this year. I’m a new subscriber and love all your recommendations !!!

I swapped watching TV on my own for reading! I still watch it with my husband as that is a shared activity we do together but I’ve hugely minimized how much TV I watch

I love this, you have so many great tips!!! I definitely utilize audiobooks whenever I can and love being in book clubs and am getting better about DNF’ing! I think actually starting my YouTube channel has been a good motivator too but that’s a bit more of a commitment for most people, haha. No other tips, great job 😉👏

Reading has stopped me from DOOM SCROLLING 🥹 Honestly, swapping out my scrolling with reading has helped me so much with focusing too. I find that I don't get distracted so much nowadays at ~7+ months in. Nowadays, I just bring my kindle around to read when I'm out and about. I also think another tip that took me a hot minute to realize that... don't read books you don't enjoy. Like why did I spend so much time trying to read "productive" and "self help book" 💀Like it's OK to read ANY book as an adult. I don't know why I felt like I could only read books that are "helpful" initially... and I could never keep reading. And now, I realize, reading productive/self help book was a negative to my reading habits ✨
