How does a new $700 gaming laptop compare to a graphics card that's been the top-dog on steam for all of time?

i'm not 100% certain but I think you need "JEDEC" memory to make it run at 3200mhz without having the XMP option in bios.

Impressive what laptops can do these days, imagine playing such demanding games on a portable device 5- 10 years ago...

Dawid, a Steam Deck themed challenge. How close can you get to 720p 30fps gaming, with a budget of 15w, no other restrictions...

I was so happy to see that you reviewed a laptop that I have. Mine was from Micro Center's Platinum Collection and it had a Ryzen 5 5600H with a 1650 and a 144hz panel for $699 before taxes. I did upgrade the RAM in it to dual channel running at 3200Mhz and it's going very good so far for me.

That's an impressive laptop configuration for the price!
Also I like that when you open the laptop from the bottom, you have access to the harddrives and ram without having to take the keyboard, trackpad out while disconnecting the most fragile ribbon cable connectors imaginable.
With that said, good job HP, let's just hope this laptop isn't made of the cheapest components that die out after 1 to 3 years like most other HP products.

The office looks just like "a normal" house.

Having the majority of PC users game at around the GTX 1060 range is great. Game developers must look at the analytics and optimize their games to be able to run well on at least that card and it shows for the most part!

I've said it for months : entry level laptop priced didn't really got inflated that much (1650 and 1660 parts didn't get too high at least) and if you want a gaming system, some laptops can be a very good desktop replacement with enough IO to do all you want (maybe with some dongles). Might be a better idea than buy 5yr old hardware sometimes

Seems as if HP is really making some decent products, well at least way better than Dell.

This is awesome - a friend of mine has the HP Aromatherapy Oil Diffuser (INTEL Variant of your review unit) and it runs better than I would have expected. Shame about that SSD size though; it's like a bad Tinder date that doesn't quite measure up to his profile pic. It's large enough to get the job done, but not nearly as satisfying.

The small (literal) bug at 5:39 is also an HP Pavilion variant...

Any plans for a video with a gaming laptop going head to head with a prebuilt from the same manufacturer? Like the HP Omen prebuilt vs HP Omen 15 laptop with both having 11th Gen Core i7s and RTX 3060s

Hey Dawid not sure if anyone mentioned this but at 5:41 I literally noticed a fly on the keyboard lol. Great video like usual lol.

I got a 1060 3gb for only $50 around 5 months ago for my wife’s PC and it rocks. It was a perfect fit for her ITX build and actually looks really good

I haven’t ever seen anyone purchasing a 1060 in so long! No idea how they are still holding up!
