It was so true when one of the guys said calories are more important than protein intake. And carbs after a workout might be the most***important thing.

Context matters. For a person like me 180 lbs 18% body fat. and trying to reverse pre diabetes symtoms and prolonged insulin resistance, at the same time lose mostly fat mass while buildmuscle, eating 50g-100g carbs post workout to max muscle synthesis is really good choice. Rest of the time should be stayed in keto with caloric deficit to take advantage of resting fat loss, and train fasted for superspeed fat loss during workout performance does not degrade even tho keto/fasted, due to the carb replenishment right after workout. Thyroid related nutritions also req to defend against metabolic slowdown due to 1000 kcal caloric deficit .
!Important note of course! this all assumes at least 2 months of ZERO carb keto pre to get my body absolutely fat adapted first which I did.

Fast digested carbs really works after you work out because that's the only time when you want to spike insulin because insulin is released from the pancreas and take those cards right to the muscles

I cycle before work so i eat a cliff bar about 25 or so carbs slow and fast in it and a good handfull of haribo gummy bears another 20-30 (made of almost all dextros) and that helps me continue without wanting a nap at work.

Tell me you don't know Bodybuilding without telling me you don't know Bodybuilding....
Dude! Go listen to Jay Cutler, Hany Rambod and many other Pros on the importance or have Carbs and a Simple Sugar post workout. 20+ Olympias know better then these guys that don't even look like they workout.
