Misconceptions About Stretching and Foam Rolling & Why They're OVERRATED for Recovery

Показать описание
In this clip I discuss why, in the context of post run recovery, stretching and foam rolling do not belong in the same category as eating.

I also discuss some common misconceptions on foam rolling and stretching, as well as why they may indirectly benefet recovery, but to a very small degree compared to the pillars of recovery (sleep, nutrition, stress management, volume/intensity/program management).

Listen in to hear how to foam roll properly, when/why to stretch, and how to replenish after a run (or any training session).

I remember the 75th RR HPW talk about recovery and how stretching is actually bad but foam rolling helps a bit, but you mostly need sleep and nutrition.

Will Iron Wolf training + rucking + weight vest + running be enough to pass SFAS? Been doing strength work, but it's been hard to enjoy. Mostly come from a cardio background.
