As a studio musician, I was hired by Jimmy Vaughan to play with Double Trouble in some studio/recording work. The first time I witnessed SRV, I was absolutely floored. I have played with the likes of Clapton, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters, Albert King, Robert Cray and many other legendary guitarist. But SRV was hands down the greatest I've ever seen and heard. He is often referred to as a Jimi Hendrix knock off, but I can testify to the fact that he was an original and his ability was beyond Hendrix! There will Never be another like him and it was a True Honor and the Pinnacle of my 37 year's as a Studio Guitarist to have been Blessed with the opportunity to meet and Play with the Best to ever Pick!

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a big part of my high school days and early twenties. What a huge loss it was to music when he died. Still listen to his music all the time. Always will. One of the all-time greats.

I can tell you right where I was that day. One of the saddest days of my life as far as a musician goes. Being from Fort Worth I remember him all over the radio, miss the joke's they did with him. That dude had a heart of pure gold. Miss him dearly, could you imagine what he would be like today 🤯 Rock on SRV 🤘🤘🤘

A definite influence on my guitar playing . I was just starting to get serious about playing ( I was 14 ) when " Texas Flood. " was released . I'd never heard blues like that before, I loved it, still do . The things he did on his guitar, truly amazing . I cried when I heard of his passing . It was a sad day .

Man I love him. He was a one of a kind and extremely talented artist. He had so emotion when he played guitar and you could feel his energy. He left us way too soon and He will always be deeply missed. RIP
