Tried different videos on how to actually enter the restore mode and this was the only one which worked for me. Just shutdown the iPhone and immediately press both volume down and power buttons simultaneously and keep pressing no matter what until getting the computer/cable screen.

Did you remove your SIM card prior to factory reset?
I see you placing SIM card in after reboot. When was SIM card taken out?

just wanted to ask but how do you know your phone is updating like does it show the bar for loading or does it just show the itunes logo screen while it updates idk i keep having the error 9006 and i don't know what to do about it

So I found this iPhone x and it has a password and an icloud connected, I've taken out the sim card and I am not sure whether trying this would work and I'd be able to use the phone as if I've bought it. My question is does having the icloud account block the phone if I tried this?

Can you tell me how long it took for a progress bar to appear on the phone for the download. Was it instantly after you clicked restore or did you have to wait for the download before a progress bar appeared.

I'm on my Mac trying and I can't update it. And no progress bar is appearing
