what did i do wrong after doing the restore the itune started downloading update and i waited to finished but the ipad rebooted and booted to the disabled screen is my cable defective? or i need to update the ipad first while its disabled

I did exactly as you said and in the end it still required the original owners details in order to proceed forward with the activation lock mode.

What if the computer does not recognize the ipad? It is connected but not charging so it means it is not recognized. My friend got his ipad Air disabled and I’m trying to connect it to itunes using my PC but the problem is it is not recognized.
