I am not Catholic but I am a Christ-follower and I just want to say how much this message from Father Mike spoke to my heart and brought tears to my eyes.
I discovered his Bible Reading Thru the Year on Spotify which has been such a blessing to me. I have recently begun listening to some of his messages such as this one.
I so appreciate his heart of integrity and faithfulness to share the redemptive love of our Saviour.

I can so relate to this message as I was one who strayed and doubted the love of my earthly father as well as my Heavenly Father. God, in His great love and mercy, gave me the gift of experiencing not only His love, grace and forgiveness but also of receiving the gift of love verbalized by my earthly father the evening before the day he went to be with Jesus in Paradise.

Love and forgiveness are the greatest gifts bestowed upon us. May I give these gifts as they have been given to me. 🙏🏼❤️

I love this sermon, I cried. I feel as though I am the so who didn’t disobey. Yeah sometimes I do feel like I’m mad for not “enjoying” youth, but then I think of all my hidden blessings I’ve had in life. All the times I’ve been protected from car accidents, potential human threats, situations I avoided where I could be hurt and it literally stops me in my tracks and I thank God He always protected me.
Not once in my life have I not obtained an answer to a prayer, sometimes the answer is No, but like a NOOOO. Sometimes my prayer is delayed but it’s always answered. Only then do I realize that there is an abundance of protection and love from Him always above, around and for me.
That’s when I’m the most thankful, it’s also humbling. I don’t think I deserve his constant gaze because I’m not perfect.
There’s a quote I heard from my favorite rapper to his daughter. “I’m not perfect but I’m trying to love you perfectly” that’s my motto to life to anyone who becomes important to me. God is perfect Jesus who is perfect gave himself for us, in my imperfection I will learn to love the best way I can.

And you’re the holy reason why I am embracing joy in the gospels and never giving up on myself.
