That is very helpful...they have JDM "Grounding Straps, type kits" out in the aftermarket community to help these problems! Thank you, Zapata...great video!

My grandpa 2008 Nissan frontier 4.0v6 did the same thing after he the replaced upper o2 sensor. So I took a look at it yesterday saw where it started. It seems that the harness that controls the coil packs is what started. I figured that something had grounded and started a spark. I couldn’t get anything from his meter lol bc it was cheap. But this is very helpful and I’m going to check the grounds.

this might help someone: I was having a high idle issue, I was being told could be a vacuum leak could be bad throttle body could be bad maf sensor blah blah. Changed my battery, did a idle relearn, fixed.

I have this issue with only the passenger side ignition coils supplying no spark. I still have the original grounds in place. You believe adding these extra grounds can help this? For those reading, everything is changed, such as spark plugs, ignition coils (hitachi), and EGI harness that controls coil harness for cylinders 1 and 3. As a result car starts, but will run till stall cause of a p0300 code. Right now, fuel isn’t burning on passenger side cause of no spark. After you installed grounds, did you have to buy a new set of coils again for install?

My battery fuse keeps blowing. That extra thing we have on the pos battery post that has 5 fuses. The single one fuse by the post keeps blowing. Will this help stop that from blowing?

What’s a cheap scanner I can use to program a used ecu I got from junk yard. What would I need to marry or code so that everything works right ?

I had this problem. Had to sell the car. 212k miles. Was burning the coils packs after driving a mile. A mechanic told me its a ecu or groundin problem. By then I was feld up.

are you grounding strapts just connected to any random hole, or did you connect it to a current ground and then grounded to chasis?
