I had this issue with my car this morning and had no clue what my friend was trying to explain. Thank you for explaining so efficiently!

I've had missfire for some days ago and the engine lamp did turn on. I had got PO301:00-EC and PO309:00-EC. Did notice unbalanced engine inside too. The mileage has got really bad on my Triton 6.8L V10 too. Did replace the coils( Blue Streak) on sylinder 1 and 9. Now its so smooth.

Your videos are perfection and EXACTLY WHAT DIY VIDEOS should be patterned after. You speak slowly. Clearly and precisely explaining the “why” which is the only way to solve any problem!!! I am told from a reliable source that in HELL, YouTube How To videos are played on jumbotrons everywhere and you cannot control the volume, much less the pause or fast forward!!! 🤨🤣😉

Coils should last for a long long time. With that being said, my coils lasted in my 2002 Rav4 till 275, 000 km and then I started to get engine hesitation problems, periodic stalling, and engine misfires. Coils this old will also have fine hairline cracks in the shaft end. The pin end will test OK but the plug end will get no readings on the multi-meter. Also, the engine light started to flash erratically and behaved like the engine was going to all of a sudden quit. I replaced all the coils, the EGR, and the MAF for about $120 in total and problems was gone.

I don't maintain my Rav4 very well either but it does get me from A to B all the time with zero problems whatsoever. Drove the Rav4 for 6 years straight with the only problem being a front burnt out running light.

2002 toyota 4runner 2003 limited white engine
210k miles
Trying to eliminate a misfire on the pass side bank.
Misfire codes for 2/4/6/8
The majority of the codes were at Cyl 2 and the Trac /vsc lights are on.

Replaced coil packs and plugs. (all 8)
Problem persists.

Removed pass side cat and 02 to check if clogged cat, cat was fine
Problem persists.

Replaced injectors (2, 4, 6, 8), problem disappated somewhat
but intermittently returns.
Problem persists.

Smoother in higher rpms.

At this point I'm thinking it's one of the below.
Fuel pump
Fuel filter
Intake manifold gasket.
Jumped a tooth on the timing belt (which needs to be replaced anyways.)

Could a bad coil be the reason for my engine light and awd to turn on my 2015 Toyota Rav4?
Also I keep having to put oil in my car, it's a mystery! What is happening. In all my 64 years I've never had to keep adding quarts of oil. Thank you for an informative video that this older woman can understand.

The resistance on each of my coil packs is 1.3 ohms and everyone might want to check theirs! Also i determined that i had a bad connection to one of the coil packs. Now it is acting up again so maybe it wasn't a bad connection after all or maybe one of my coil packs is acting up when it gets real hot!

This might be a stupid question, but with it being my first time doing this. I got the 04 Envoy with the straight 6. I unscrewed the one for the coil pack. After I unscrew it then it doesn't come out and the coil pack will be loose to rotate left and right but I can't pull it off. So I tried to lift the bolt and hold it to see if it needed to be unscrewe it more then it felt like when a screw is cross threaded..so how do these come out

I have a code and it said cylinder 4 so it still snapped on and I think my gas cap wasn’t good so I bought one and I took my light off so hope it did the job and didn’t need that coil

I did not know this. I have a 2014 Town and country van that when I step on the gas it shakes, when I start going up hill it shakes. So I take my foot of the gas and slowly apply gas again. Works, but stutters when you apply force. Do you think this might be caused by the coils?
