oh my gosh, THANK YOU! the normal/displacement sharpness was killing me and I had no idea it was because of the linear step, you saved me from insanity with that last tip! And I never knew about using uvs to distort textures either, that's super handy as well.

That dithering trick works preety well while rendering volumes with eevee... but it requires a lot of samples to get clean results..

Chris Plush is a great instructor!
I have done the Corvette tutorial as my second one (just after the Blender Guru's donut)... I will for sure buy this course on procedural materials!

I hadn't thought of blurring textures with a white noise texture, that's really smart! If only there was an actual blur node that could sufficiently smooth out hard edges

Very nice video! Thank you for posting! :D

Thanks for sharing these tips, the white noise bluring is working great, I think I'll try to add blur pattenrs in it !
I'd like to add that actually the mix blending mode is totally fine for distortion as long as the distortion values are centered around 0, so to make a distortion with a noise texture and a mixrgb you only have to add a -0.5 vector math node just before the mix. Both techniques are working perfectly fine though.
