Instant pot on high pressure with 1 cup of water in a basket for 5 minutes, then 5 minutes before pressure release. Put in cold water. Easy and peels every time.

I’m so glad to see your method wasn’t the viral TikTok one! I’ve tried that twice and for whatever reason it just didn’t work for me. The TikTok one is where you tap the egg with a spoon until you hear a crack (but it’s not actually the shell cracking) prior to boiling them. And I don’t even know why I tried it because my method has worked flawlessly for years, but I guess I was just intrigued. The way I do mine is very similar to yours with the exception of when I get to the peeling part, I do that actually in the cold water bath. Perfectly peeled eggs every time! To me, there’s nothing more satisfying when the shell pulls off clean….it’s akin to peeling that plastic film off a newly purchased device! 😆

I have found Cooking them in the instant pot for 4 minutes and putting them in ice water they peel easy as well.

As kids in the 80's, I never had difficulty peeling eggs. But now in the last 10 years, chunks of egg come off when peeling eggs that have cooked and cooled.
