I went with the mini version (had an iPad pro 11” 2018 model)
IMO it’s way better for my usage especially on sites, it’s so portable can be easily used on any site to get any info you need.
I use my macbook 14” for my work and presentations. And for me these combinations are the ultimate win-win solutions for my usage

NB: I barely do any sketches on iPad, I still like to draw on a real sketchbooks and with pencils

Finally, the answer I have been looking for is here!!! I'm an Interior Designer who has been very confused with Ipad pro 12.9 2018 which I already had and a Mini 6 that could be very convenient for a site inspection but less for a sketching. Let's have both then. Lol

I already have 12.9 for all other purposes, so the mini will just be a bigger phone / complementary device for me,

Does it support autocad/sketchup/enscape or any other 3d software

It's so weird how Youtube architects always portray architects "sketching" some concept vague building. As opposed to the reality, which is the architect uses Revit, or Autocad at a desktop/ laptop, then saves the PDF on to the iPad and then brings that to the job site.

You don't sketch on site, that's not how that works. No Architect is going to doodle something on site and call it a day. They would produce a real drawing, send it to the contractor when they get back to the office.

I also wouldn't trust any VR features yet for measurements, only tape measure and laser. I would however use a program to draw markups on a PDF that i've prepared.
