My aunt passed away on mother's day... except she didn't. She had cancer, and when her time was close it was almost mother's day. Her son, in California, was praying that she would get the best Mother's day gift ever (heaven, and relief from pain), and her daughter, in Florida, was praying that she would not pass on Mother's day.
The moment my aunt passed, it was no longer Mothers day in Florida, but with the time zone difference it was still mother's day in California. God answered both prayers precisely! ❤🙏🏻🙌🏻

I’ve also noticed this unfairness of cratering to women when death occurs. My brother in law died last year and my husband and his male siblings and their Dad were basically ignored for needing comfort during the grieving process. But I know my husband and his brothers and Dad also need support and comfort if not more since it was a fellow male who died in the family. It is an unfair societal thing- as you put it men do “like spaghetti too” or to me men also need a break from thinking of meals too at such a horrible time of loss.
