If y’all are wondering what that restaurant is, it’s Gyutan Tsukasa! I used to work at the one in Costa Mesa in California (the only location in the US)! The beef tongue they prepare is AMAZING especially because of the charcoal they use. Glad you liked it!

Had that happen at a pizza place, from some red pepper flakes that put liberally on my slice. I took a bite & they flew to the back of my throat. So freaking embarrassing because I couldn't stop choking/coughing for several minutes and everyone in the place was staring & my husband got instantly mad at me for embarrassing him. What a tool he was🍕

The same thing happened to one of my mom’s friends when we went out for sushi. It was his first time trying sushi (he was very traditionally Danish in what he liked, so he hadn’t tasted many foods), and he didn’t know what the green glob on his plate was so he just put the entire thing in his mouth 😅

Safe to say, he was red-faced, teary eyed and coughing for a full 5 minutes before he got his bearings! I don’t think he ever forgave us for not warning him 😂

Japanese grilled beef tongue goes so damn hard for no reason. Highly reccomend if anyone is interested into getting into more interesting cuts of meat. Really tender when cooked right and no weird flavor, just straight beef

Wasabi is great, it is just almost impossible to find real wasabi in the US. The horse radish wasabi is ok though.
