In Sudan, the army has launched artillery and air strikes on Khartoum in its biggest operation since the start of the war against the Rapid Support Forces, or RSF. The army lost control of the capital early on and has been unable to dislodge the RSF, which has also made advances in other parts of the country. The 17-month war has driven more than 10 million people from their homes, many to neighbouring countries, and caused extreme hunger and famine. A day earlier, UN secretary general Antonio Guterres voiced concern over 'escalation' to the country's army chief, who is in New York for the UN General Assembly. Delegates in New York also heard testimony from a Sudanese activist about conditions in the refugee camps.

Crazy how everyone cares about Gaza but not Sudan. 10 million people displaced is more than the entire population of Gaza and Lebanon combined.

Democracy simply failed to take root in Africa, and that is ok. The days of colonialism are thankfully behind us. Let African countries sort out their own systems of governing.

Blessed are those who do not ruin their country for their pride and greed.

Not much people pay attention to it because no major power involved in this war.
And Sudan is just too poor and too far away from the center of global powers in Europe/Asia/America. In other words, it's not a "important" country.
And this theory holds true for many other countries as well. It's sad and cruel but it is true.

Return to the nature, return to the ways of the Elders. For free. Rebuild our native habitat. The markets have become dangerous.
Return home our people.
