Almost two years into the civil war in Sudan, NGOs warn the scale of the impact is catastrophic. We speak to the German Minister for Economic Cooperation & Development Svenja Schulze who has just returned from the region.
And, women's groups in Kenya demand femicide to be declared a national disaster.

Plus: we meet the first woman to curate the Dakar Biennale. Salimata Diop gives DW News Africa a tour of the exhibition.

This crisis has definetely not been heard as it should have. It has fallen in the shadows of Ukraine and Palestine sadly..I barely see anything related to Sudan in the media.

Sudan pops out on DW every two three days, and it's supposed to be the worse humanitarian desaster for decades. For Gaza it's every two to three hours. Why it's a mystery.

Where is Africa in this?
there are so many countries in africa why don't they support their own union and take responsibility.
Europe cannot fix all problems in Africa every time there is a war army that wants to play king.

UNRWA and other UN Agencies should immediately relocate from Gaza and Lebnon to Sudan.

Africa i agree need to play an important role in Sudan struggling for years with a nass exodus of innocent people.
The African Leaders need to take initiative with pure motives to work with Europe in Harmony to bring peace and Stability in the region.
This Sudan war has gone on too long creating a Humanitarian Crisis. I write with interest and concern to bring the Sudan war to an end.
Great interview. Keep up the good work at DW.

The war is not going to stop by not supplying either side. I don't know who thinks that policy works. You create a power vacuum because neither side is able to take command of situation. The best option is you pick a side (both sides here are dictators anyway) we supply one side on conditions of aftermath of war. But bott supplying either side only forces the war to continue. Since you are creating a stalemate and both sides won't stop. That are you break up the country. It doesn't make sense strategically though it sounds good politically. You pick a side that shall aligned with your foreign policy and domestic arrangement.

The more the world ignores atrocity, the easier it spreads worldwide. Shame on us all.
