Sudan has been locked in a civil war for almost a year and there doesn't seem to be an end in sight with both sides ignoring international diplomatic efforts. So in this video, we'll explain the current state of the conflict and the challenges to peace.

Our mission is to explain news and politics in an impartial, efficient, and accessible way, balancing import and interest while fostering independent thought.

TLDR is a completely independent & privately owned media company that's not afraid to tackle the issues we think are most important. The channel is run by a small group of young people, with us hoping to pass on our enthusiasm for politics to other young people. We are primarily fan sourced with most of our funding coming from donations and ad revenue. No shady corporations, no one telling us what to say. We can't wait to grow further and help more people get informed. Help support us by subscribing, engaging and sharing. Thanks!

It's kind of crazy how this is never mentioned in conventional news. That and the new conflict with Rwanda and the DRC.

Ukrainian combat units fighting in Sudan against Wagner is honestly insane.

I was baffled that Hamedetti was hosted in Rwanda and visited Rwanda Genocide Museum. The guy committed multiple genocides and ethnic cleanings

I'm let down that the Armed Forces are losing, I haven't been attentive with this conflict but during the Rapid Support Forces' advance, a lot of Sudanese women were begging for a fatwa (a ruling in Islamic law) permitting suicide, as that was seen as a better alternative to enduring the possibility of r*pe that would almost inevitably come with any advances with the RSF.

This war is horrific, yet no one seems to care in the west. Everyone is chanting “ceasefire now” about Gaza, but not a peep for Sudan.

No wonder wagner supports the rsf. They seem like the sudanese version of wagner

This is a bit out of touch, it might have been more accurate 3 months ago. Now the situation is a lot more different on the ground.

1. The number of the displaced is outdated by a margin of 7 months. True numbers are closer to 10 million internally displaced.
2. Hemedti "charm offense" bore no fruits as the Sudanese government refuses the intervention of any government they view as giving him legitimacy.
3. The RSF is now on the back foot in Khartoum, the capital.
4. Western Efforts seem to be generally decreasing, although they were never serious to begin with.

War is certain to continue on until the frontlines has stabilized. Perhaps with the recapture of the Darfur capitals.

Thanks for reporting on this under reported conflict :)

Since this seems mostly like a power struggle between two men, I have to wonder what the individual soldiers are fighting for.

I get that both forces are led by corrupt rich men but in Sudan the people would very much rather the army than the RSF during the protests leading up to the war they used to chant “send the army back to their bases and DISBAND the RSF” the army isn’t inherently bad as it saved the Sudanese people from RSF control (the RSF has a very dark past and present in Sudan read about that if you care to know) the SAF is just a bit corrupt and needs reorganization

As a somali analysis used to live in Khartoum, Sudan.
Sudan Army is much stronger than RSF, RSF grown under the hamadook PM time and i'm 100% sure as time goes they will be defeated by the SAF.
All sudan hate the RSF right now and they are using neighboring mercenaries and foreign mercenaries with foreign weaponry and money support like UAE, Chad and Russia but unluckily the SAF got drones and control most of the main cities, factoreis, ports and airports this means they have the resources and the personnel's to fight more than 50years if needed with the best leaders Alburhan.
I love Sudan it's my second country and i'm confident that Sudan Armed Forces will win this War sooner or later.
From Somalia❤

Thank god someone’s talking about. Everyone’s so obsessed with taking a side in the Israel/Gaza conflict that we forget anything else even matters or exists.

And people don't call this one a genocide requiring boycott of random brands. I don't see protests or calls for intervention/mediation about it either.

In such situations, I wish the soldiers who the ones doing the killing and dying would say to their "generals", - you fight, the two of you, and whoever wins, is leader

It’s nuts that both Sudans (Sudan and South Sudan) are in two separate Civil Wars…

The wildest thing I’ve learned today is that Ukrainian Special Forces are hunting the Russians globally 💀

Safe for TLDR I haven't seen this in the news recently. Thanks for reminding everyone that the world is an awful place right now.

I've got to give it to you, you've pronounced the names of the leaders fairly well.
