One of the world's worst humanitarian crises, the mass famine and displacement in Sudan "is much, much greater than Gaza and Ukraine combined," former prime minister Abdalla Hamdok told DW's Tim Sebastian. Hamdok, who led the government after former dictator Omar Bashir was forced from power and knows the two rival generals fighting a brutal civil war, said the country has spent most of the years since independence under military dictatorship and that the Sudanese people bear the ultimate responsibility for ending the conflict.  But Hamdok called for international support to get foreign fighters out of the country. The UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Ukraine and Egypt have all reportedly intervened to support one side or the other in the war.

As a Sudanese at the beginning of the war, I did not think that I was biased towards any party in the conflict, but with the passage of time, I saw what the Rapid Support Forces did in terms of mass killing, looting, and systematic rape in any land they entered. I sided with the army with everything I had (despite our disagreement with it on many points). In the end, it is the national army and not just mercenaries who know nothing but killing. You should know that Dr. Hamoudek has become a hated figure among the Sudanese people because of the equality between the army and the Rapid Support Forces (although he does not disclose this directly).

Thank you Mr. Tam and Conflict Zone channel. Dr. Hamdok failed to answer difficult questions, and they are the same questions of the glorious December revolutionaries. You had everything in your hands and did nothing. Now we want to educate the Sudanese people about the importance of stopping the destructive war and not exonerating criminals from justice.

People mad on how he is interviewing- the man is the leader, and his people is suffering. I wish all leaders would be interrogated like this

Hamdok's (the prime minister) incompetence is a key reason to this war, therefore the interviewer is correct in his questioning.

It's amazing how the ex prim minister doesn't seem to be moved by the mention of our suffering. As the interviewer said he seems quite detached from the whole thing. Not to mention that he was outside Sudan most of his career

Questioning him like he had something to do with the war. Typical western journalism.

Aballa Hamadok is completely responsible for killing Sudanese innocent civilians by supporting Rapid supported forces and supported their killing activity, rapping women, steaing their material golds and he never condemned it but in fact he involved in political agreement with lead of Rapid support forces Hamadi . Therefore all Sudanese people strongly refused to acknowledge Hamadok to represent them as their Political leader

The guy who is called Hamdok was not capable to lead the transitonal period, the man brough his civilian militia to get benifit from the governmental position & revenage from their opponent.
Saying Tagadom is largest alliance of sudanese group is just a mere illusion & london demonstration last week showed him the sudanse opoinion toward the RSF political wing.

Strong words came out from our civilian sound, Hamadok.
Thank you for your hard work to save your people who will never listen .

This interview is quite shameful, I feel so sad and ashamed to have seen this level of ignorance and irresponsibility coming from a man who not long ago was appointed a prime minister. It doesn’t even sound like an interview with a nation’s former PM, it sounds like an elder person conversing with a child. He’s not equipped with any facts, stats or even agenda that he stands for. He seem very hesitant to call out truth about both Burhan and Himidti being war criminals, and the obvious involvement of UAE in igniting and fueling this ongoing war. I am deeply ashamed our nation came to such level of weakness and failure that God reward us accordingly with a man from within us that reflects such. So sad and heartbreaking talk.

I believe the interviewer is hosting the wrong guest who has nothing to do,
with what's going on right now, he better interact with someone official in the Sudanese government, not Ex- PM Hamdok
