What is an Ion?

In this video we learn about Ions. What are Ions and how are they formed from Atoms? We learn about the difference of positive and negative ions, and how they are formed from the loss or gain of electrons. We use two examples of Ions, via the Sodium ion by the loss of an electron to form a Cation, and the Chloride Ion via the gain of one electron to become an Anion.
This lecture will be useful for students learning for GCSE and A Level Chemistry, Biology and Physics Exams.
