This video covers how atoms gain or lose electrons to form ions, why they bother, and how to tell which ion they'll become.

Based on AQA course, but suitable for all exam boards.

I was struggling in Chemistry and da exam was yesterday and when I found your channel I loved it cuz 1.u use your own teaching skills 2. U dont have a low pitch voice or high pitch voice 3.if u were my teacher my whole class would understand ur teaching skills

Excellent video really well explained. I'm a teacher and I'm happily recommending all these to my class.
A couple of pedantic points (sorry). Helium only has 2 electrons in its outer shell (but because this first shell has a capacity of 2 it still means that it is full, like the rest of Group 0). Also some of the metals further down the middle groups are happy to make ions (e.g. Aluminium, Tin etc.)
