2023 BEGINNERS GUIDE | HOW TO START IMPROVING AT osu!mania

I decided to make a short beginners guide to (hopefully) help newer players improve! osu!mania can be a very intimidating game to get into, with the growing popularity of rhythm games, more people are starting to play mania than ever before!

While there are some other guides out there, some are missing elements that I believe should be included. I wanted to make a short, but comprehensive guide.

I truly enjoy watching new players improve, they bring new life into the community, which I hope flourishes as time progresses.

If this video does well, I'll probably make more videos like this, I already have some ideas in mind, such as discussing and explaining the effects that hardware has on gameplay, I also want to make content for other rhythm games as well, so stick around for that :)

nice vid, very simple to understand and seems like a good tip for people to get started on the game.

a funny storie is that i didnt realise that truning off scale bpm per song and remember scoll speed per song was a thing so i played like that all the wayt until i was around 6k pp

I used to play FNF, then switched to a FNF Rip-off on Roblox, called Funky Friday.
It's crazy how i've evolved so much on it, at the point that on my first day at osu!mania (some days ago) i can already do 3-4 stars songs, while most fnf players would be stuck on the transition of 2 to 3 stars.

I'm not a pro, at least not in O!M, but i know very well that i just improved by, literally, playing.
Of course, most FNF songs are around 2 stars, 3.5 at max, but since i was stuck on that skill level, i couldn't improve, so i guess i will gradually become way better because of osu if i just... Play more and not focus on training sessions and shit like that, i never actually trained, the only thing i do is study charts at slower speeds, so i can slowly make the chart faster until i get better.

In general, yes, just play more, you don't need to do specific trainings, sure they do help with specific things, for example i can't do chordjacks properly, but focusing on one thing will not help you to improve on others, while just playing in general will slowly make you better, but at least, will allow you to evolve all areas at once.
