New Player Tips:
1. Tents DLC - Lifechanging! I always have a tent in inventory. The ability to drop it down anywhere is so beneficial I think TENTS should have been in the base game. Drop a tent for store access to buy ammo, etc. Drop a tent to spawn an ATV to drive around. Drop a tent at a place you shot multiple-kills, so once you track your first kill just fast-travel back to that tent and follow the next blood trail. Drop a tent to easily access you favorite spots that don't have outposts nearby.... etc. etc. GET TENTS DLC! ---

1A (bonus tip) One tip about Tents or below Tree-stands: Buy just 1 version/color of any tent/tripod/treestand, in that way it will STACK. It doesn't matter that you have a stack of 50 "white" tents, if you take them from storage, that stack of 50 all go into inventory but still only weights the same as 1 tent. This saves time if you want to setup several tents in a row for a particular hunt, and I have never found a source that says as of 12/2022 that a tent or tripod's 'camo' pattern made any difference when hunting or spooking animals.

2. Tripods / Tree-Stands AND ATV. These 2 DLC are not as good as Tents, but they are very high 'quality of life' benefits. New players will absolutely love being able to DRIVE around the map to unlock areas. Also ATVs are wonderful when you shoot something on the other side of a body of water and have a 10 minute walk that becomes a 1 minute ride. Tripods/Tree-stands are wonderful for invisible hunting open areas with height to see all around you.. Also they reduce hunting pressure by 75% I think.. so hunt an area longer. Also great to use to mark areas like rabbit burrows that don't show on maps.

3. New players (especially if you have tripods) should go to Hertzfeld and find any of the big fields.. Put down a tripod and scatter 20 Canada Goose decoys around (I don't know if you get these free in the base game or with a DLC but I had them in my inventory already.. They are NOT in the Goose DLC as I don't have it). Have a Tier 1 weapon ( .22LR is great, especially the DLC 10 round in WP1). This will make the geese come to you and as a new player it is much easier to just kill things that come to you for a while... Easy way to get enough money / rifle skill for the Hyper x4-x8 rifle scope then you can switch to bigger animals. If you don't have a .22LR just use your .243 starter rifle and FREE soft-point ammo on the Geese.. you will take a money penalty but still make 500 bucks and 27 rifle skill each goose and the .243 will one-shot a goose pretty much any shot placement.

As a new player who took advantage of the sales of the season. I did get a few maps and some guns already. This was amazing for a basic introduction video. Thank you 👍

I just started playing this game and I love it. It is such a cool down game after intense search and destroy raging 😂

Got the game for christmas, was excited but expecting to wait long to get my first kill, get my first kill an hour later, get another kill 30 minutes later, Deer im hunting runs away cause I get closer to get a better shot, pack of coyotes dissapears because I tried to be "patient" and follow them slowly, Class 4 deer hit by the starter rifle doesnt die despite bring hit in the lungs from about 50m away, same happens for another deer, So on, So forth.

"Patience" is an understatement

Really sucks how much DLC there is, especially when the base game isn't free. One of my biggest pet peeves in gaming, especially when the content should be base-game. It's on sale now, but expensive normally. $28 just for weapons, $28 for content such as tents, tree stands, a bloodhound, and ATVs that should really be included for free, and a further $96 just for different areas.

Amazing, I saved for the 8X42 Bino's and thought the game hated me because I still didn't get info after the upgrade. DUH. Turns out a guide really can fix stupid !! DUH !! Now if I ever learn how to switch ammo in the Grelck I'll be a happy hunter :)

I have a couple of questions... my biggest one is how do you run😂... when I guess my follow-up question to that is on PC where can I find a charter something that tells you all the different things you can press on your keyboard to make it do certain things like open your backfire gun run etc etc etc😅... I'm old, and honestly haven't gained in like 10 to 12 years other than trying WoW out a few months ago to see if it was worth getting back into... So any help is greatly appreciated 😎✌️

I love that the advice is basically "Git Gud" and considering I also really enjoy the Dark Souls games, which also require you to put in time and learn if you want to succeed and/or have fun... It makes sense why I initially got really aggravated by the game, only to start over and try again less impatiently. It's honestly surprising how similar of a mindset you need to have fun with this game and with the Souls games. Patience and using your brain are the key from what I can tell.
Oh, and it doesn't hurt to spend three times the value of the game on DLC content either.

As someone who plays hunting simulator two I feel there are a lot more animals animals in Hunter Call Of The Wild, In hunting simulator two you never just see animals, I will go 30 minutes and not see crap, but in this game it’s different, I can’t tell what one I like better, I think it just depends on my mood.

Just bought the base game for like $8 on PlayStation Store. Big W. I already had the ATV in the garage so, I guess some things that were DLC only aren't anymore.

If you struggled like me at the beginning in Horschfelden map: thats because its one of the hardest maps in the game while you have next to no perk points. Other maps are much less brushy with more open fields

Great guide, I've been thinking about getting a hunting game for awhile and decided to pick the daimond edition off the playstation store while it was on sale.
