I own a 2022 outlander exceed with white leather and to me after personal comparison to sportage to me it is a much better put together car and rides much better. The bang for buck is exceptional and I even find the engine peppy enough to for me. Mitsubishi are having trouble keeping up so they are definitely doing something right. Sportage is a good car but the outlander feels so solid and rugged and ready to go where as the sportage is a bit out there and more city focused

The Mitsubishi is a way better option in my opinion. Well done Misubishi 👍

Got the Outlander SEL Launch Edition in the states and have to say I love this SUV. It certainly stands out and still surprised at random inquiries at a gas station or grocery store. Anyhow, good video content!

Having the KIA Sportage GT Line since Feb and I absolutely love the plush interior, infotainment, the technology with safety. Smart Cruise control is a big plus on highway driving.

Interesting! I just test drove both this week. Ended up getting the Kia, an SX Prestige trim (US). And I'm a big Mitsubishi fan. I traded in a 2011 Outlander GT, and my previous car before that was a Galant. But the technology won me over with the Kia. I also felt it was punchier than the Outlander, not sure if it was in my head, but that's how I felt. I like the Outlander's exterior more, but I like the Sportage's interior more, and I spend more time looking at it from the inside than the outside. People out there look at the exterior rather than the interior, and they won't help me pay the bill, so I went with the Kia 😁
In all seriousness, I think that if you also have these 2 cars in mind 50/50 like I did, and closed your eyes... and picked one... you'd be happy with the outcome!

Loved the styling of the Sportage at launch, great interior and technology. Have driven the Outlander Aspire (not Exceed) and I love the styling, certainly a huge improvement over the outgoing model. Love the Range Rover-esque front end, especially when optioned with black OUTLANDER lettering. Tough choice, Outlander looks more spacious, especially the adjustable second row. Outlander for me. Another great video. Love the format.

The Kia hands down for me but never before. Have I ever really looked sideways at an outlander because I thought the styling was very boring but I do really like the new look of the new outlander. I actually stop and look at it when I see it out and about but hands down Kia for the win for me 🤓

This guy's reviews are always the best, leaning toward Sportage, we test drove and there's so much space, you don't need to adjust the front seats to sit in the back anyway (my partner is 6ft4, I'm 6ft) and the cameras are amazing, no blind spot with the indicator cameras. Both cars seem like great options

I bought the Kia Sportage SX Diesel and picked it up this past Monday. I’m super happy with it, it’s such a pleasure to drive.

Thanks Paul, your reviews where exceptionally helpful in my decision process for buying my new car.

Looking forward to the outlander PHEV review. Would be great if you could do a minor off-road test with it too, just to see if it compares well with the original multi-suv off road winners.

Great comparison as always, and the winner for me is the sportage, but like you, I would go for the diesel better torque, especially in mountainous regions of Australia, and better fuel economy. The new outlander actually looks quite nice on the interior over it's previous model, but I don't like the exterior design at all, Sportage wins the styling for me. People buying these SUVS need to realise, they're AWD, not 4WD, so they're not going to be comparable for major off road use, they're more suited to perhaps dirt roads that have a degree of maintaining done on them, but they'll handle some minor wheel ruts.

I am waiting to see what the Outlander PHEV is like. If it really can do 80km on EV only, its a no brainer for me.

Any chance of doing some reviews using the base models of cars instead of top models. I'm sure not everyone out there can afford the top model and there don't seem to be any reviewers that review base models. The difference between top and base are usually worlds apart, so would be nice to see what you can actually expect if you can only afford the base model. For example, I'm looking at base models in several cars, including the Outlander 5 seater AWD and the Sportage base model, but it's almost impossible to find someone who is reviewing these cars.

Good review, we've been in both vehicles multiple times but personally prefer the Outlander.

Sportage's exterior styling is a bit weird for me. It's a bit, soft? Not a fan ... I think the big win for the Kia are the curved screens. The Outlander has rugged good looks, the light grey interior is phenomenal and blows Kia away IMO.

Driving dynamics I would assume Kia being better, but I doubt it's night and day.

Both good options end of the day

The Outlander used in this review is not the top spec. Outlander Exceed Tourer is the top spec. And the interior is so much better than the one in the review. It has Two-Tone Exterior Body Colour, Two-Tone High Grade Leather Interior , Driver and Front Passenger Seat Massage Function aswell. Top spec outlander is about the same price as top spec Sportage, but you get extra 2 seats. The Outlander gives 10 year warranty compared to 7 years for the Sportage. Bang for buck Outlander is better in my opinion

Thanks for another Great Review wouldn't expect anything less. I prefer the look of the Mitsi but the tech features of the Kia

Tried them both then bought a Skoda Kodiaq Style with Tech and Luxury packs. Added an electric towbar (brilliant) and paid for 7 years of servicing and got 7 yr factory warranty. No comparison.
