I have never owned a Mitsubishi but I drove Mitsubishi Fuso trucks in a previous job. We abused and neglected those trucks like you have no idea! However they just never quit! Those things are indestructible! I was very impressed by that!

Love the Outlander. Got one for me & another one for my wife. Great interior, simple long lasting motors (per Mitsubishi history) and end up saving about 6K-10K with almost all tech features & interior as I compared the Outlander with RAV4, Kia, Mazda, & Hyundai.

Outlander for sure. Rather have a Japanese built car with the 5/60 bumper to bumper and the 100/100 powertrain. I believe the Kia is also the same warranty. I don't need almost 300 hp. I'll save that for my sports cars. The Mitsubishi connect app allows you to remote start the vehicle from your phone with their app, also, you can find your car, roll down the windows, lock the doors, turn on of off the lights and much more. The 3rd row seat on each of them are worth-less. Enough room for a deflated beach ball and unborn child. Just a marketing ploy for both. The Outlander DOES have Blind Spot Monitoring, 360 degree camera, Moving Object Detection, Pre-collision with pedestrian detection, all speed cruise control, Lane departure monitoring w/ lane keep assist, automatic high beams, Rain-sensing wipers, Hand's free power rear hatch, navigation with 7 inch display screen. It also has MY PILOT on the SE and up. This allows you to set cruise and all you have to do is keep a hand lightly on the steering wheel.

I have never been a fan of Kia's or Hyundai's. They both make great cars but not my thing.

Bought the Mitsubishi. Had a rally art 2010. Never broke. Pedal to the metal every day. I like the looks. Power is fine. If I wanted a race car I'd by one. Turbos are expensive and don't last.

Aside from power, Outlander wins in almost all other categories. Much better vehicle for the money.

Thanks for the review! Since you asked which one I would pick, I would pick the outlander. It looks so fantastic. Also, mitsubishis are very reliable cars. There is an outlander here in YouTube with 390, 000 miles on it. That's a big win for the mitsubishi

Finally someone has built an SUV that looks different than all the others on the road. Yep Outlander looks amazing.

I definitely prefer the new rugged look of the Outlander. Finally it doesn't look like a glorified station wagon! The Kia Sorento 2021 logo will change for 2022, about time too.

Great comparison with competing vehicles, very informative!

I’m going with the Outlander. Styling, technology and price are more important to me than power. That’s not to say power isn’t important - it certainly is.

I believe I would be satisfied with the Mitsubishi’s combination of adequate power as well as ride comfort. Being able to accelerate adequately for a lane change to avoid slower drivers, is my subjective viewpoint for power. It’s the long rides I’m equally concerned with.

I live in Philadelphia where there is a lot of stop and go traffic. But I occasionally drive up and down the Northeast Corridor - roughly 400-500 miles. The Outlander would be best for both driving environments I feel.

I bought the Outlander Launch Edition.... and I'm very happy with my decision. Kia has more power, but I don't care about that.

Thank you for the wonderful video. The Outlander phev is scheduled to be introduced in Japan around December. This new Outlander is also highly evaluated in Japan.

Some people even complain about the power that the Subaru BRZ delivers.
I used to drive one and its power was more than enough. I'm interested in buying this new outlander and its power would never be a concern. Kids on the internet these days complain about everything.

Good review mate. Better than most. Thanks. You dud not tell what two engines were you comparing. Diesel or petrol? Maybe I was not paying attention. But very good review.

Mitsubishi builds a solid reliable well configured vehicle. This new edition is a perfect evolution of their brand. For the money the Outlander offer huge value, and a nice safe comfortable vehicle. As for the Kia their styling, multitude of features and engine options makes it a strong contender. In the end if it came down to price, feature and reliability I would pick the Outlander. The Sorento has the performance, but that comes at a price that I’m not willing to go as there are many other options I would explore at that price range. Give me the Outlander! Well done Mitsubishi, this is a compelling vehicle to make Mitsubishi a more Household name.
