Not sure if you covered it before in another video, as a YT video is how I learned this, but adding an emote to a hotbar as a caster while learning slide cast timing. While casting, if the emote is darkened, you can’t move. Once it lights up again, you can move. Neat visual aid while learning.

As a newer player and a bard main, one of the things that makes me feel top tier is keeping an eye on my party and throwing out that warden's paean anytime someone needs it; Probably goes unnoticed most of the time, but it feels good to help.

This is a great video! A lot of these tips I haven't seen on youtube before (a lot of guides just repeat the same ones).

A quick note: not all effects of attacks will be negated with Transcendent. Notably, there are quite a few knockbacks that will still affect players with the buff, so if you raise at the wrong time, you may still die again anyway even without breaking Transcendent. This is most important in higher level content where there are DPS checks, so if you know a fight, always consider the next mechanic that's about to go off before you decide to take the res immediately. :)

I’m not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but in the Party Members menu you can reorder the party list as you like (except for having yourself at the top).

It’s useful for grouping light parties/partners together (for example in p8s, it makes it much easier to see at a glance if flexing is needed for snakes). Or when blu raiding, you can put the acting tank and acting healers where they usually are on your party list. Or if you use buff macros that target the n-th party member instead of a focus target, you can move your preferred dps or offtank in the n-th spot in the list.

Small chatbox tip not widely known but is super useful: Anything you type in chat is saved like a clipboard. You can then access the text again later. Just use the up arrow key to scroll through your most recent typed text. Useful if you type the a message in the wrong channel! Instead of retyping the message just switch to correct channel, up arrow and hit enter! This is common in most other games with chat boxes.

Reaper also has a party wide protection. Arcane Crest, typically used to shield yourself in a hit for 10% less damage to yourself. But if it's used (you get smacked by said enemy hard enough to break it) it activates it will give you and anyone near you in your party to gain some self-healing. (its very short and small healing so don't expect too much lol)

Oh, so that's why some macros I see repeat the same thing over and over. Thanks for clearing that up. :)

If you hold ctrl while having the map open it will put all aetherites on top of anything else surpunding the aetherrite. No more looking for the icon burried in sidequests.

When gathering for maps as miner/botanist you can guaranty finding a map on every node with the "uncover hidden items"-skill until you actually gather a map.

The Transcendent rez buff doesn’t protect you from quite all damage (probably any damage that goes through tank invulns too). For example, if you get hit by the p8s p1 tankbuster, the buff protects you from the initial damage, but you still get a lethal dot on you.

My impression was that the dot damage scaled up with the more damage you took with the initial hit, but if you take zero damage the dot is the opposite of harmless.

Probably it effects you the exact same way as if you were to use a tank invuln for the tankbuster, since the battle team wanted to make the busters harder to invuln cheese.

little late to this but here's a few, you can use gap closers and moves like repelling shot to get out of knockbacks.
If you are doing true north in a raid, but markers are down for mechanics, you can put a flag down just outside the arena to mark north on your compass to find it easier (that's helped me a ton lol) The "Mameteer" title makes all obedient minions act independent.
Return works in pvp and brings you back to your base.
this one is mostly for newer players, but usually something i have to teach, you can completely turn off other people's effects in settings or set them to limited so you see less, and type in "/petsize all small" to make all smn pets smaller for you.
a macro starting with "/echo" will make that line only appear to you, very helpful when you must recast something at certain times and don't want to bother your group with text and calls, like iron jaws for bard, my example is i would make my macro to cast iron jaws on the first line, second line is /wait 20, third line is "/echo Recast iron jaws <se.2>" so i would have the sound effect and know i need to recast it soon.
and speaking about /wait you can use .5 for a time

Just as a note, the auto target setting used to be in the game under a different name in ARR, and it was only one checkbox. I think it was called "Target Promotion" or something.

As a SMN I was doing Tower at 'Paradigm's Breach' and I have a macro that does a party wide rez attempt (Basically it casts Swiftcast then attempts to rez the tank then each healer in turn then the DPS) and me and one of the healers kept taking turns to rez the other healer until I told them about the immunity and advised them to wait until they were healed up by the other healer or big heal themselves, the other healer's reaction was simply " ^ ". I think that this should be on the tool tip.

As a summoner main, I'm ashamed that I didn't know Rekindle could be applied to party members.

I seem to remember something about an interrupt causing the enemy to stagger for its remaining cast time, giving the same benefit regardless of when you interrupt. I'd have to go test to make sure.

I got raised in p5s during devour and I got affected by stun mechanic during the 5 seconds. Don’t rez during devour rez after before next mechanic

Love your content, great guides can't say how you've helped me FINALLY nail down RDM. Been wanting to get into macros esp. for healing (mouse-over macros). Finally, just curious out of simple curiosity because humans are curious things, and have wondered watching your videos from time to time for awhile. But I'm curious, even if it is not my business: do you identify as transgender or trans?

Here's a few things most players don't seem to know.
1. Every job has at least 1 AoE GCD at level 50 and they actually do have a use and they're not to be ignored.
2. Using your buffs at the edge of the arena doesn't give it to your party most of the time, hitting your party with buffs is good.
3. Saving everything for bosses in dungeons is a huge waste, you're probably missing out on several uses of useful abilities each dungeon.
4. Healers are meant to deal damage too.
