Great lesson, Mike!! SEQUENCE is a powerfull function - i love it.
Another old-school trick from me (to eliminate the volatile function - INDIRECT)
=SUM(--MID(B6, ROW(A1:INDEX(A:A, LEN(B6))), 1))
or....more robust (more safe)
=SUM(--MID(B5, ROW(INDEX(A:A, 1):INDEX(A:A, LEN(B5))), 1))

Hi Mike.. another great one. Love using ROW(INDIRECT()) to generate a variable array constant / number sequence within a formula to generate multiple results.. but the new SEQUENCE function is so much easier. Thanks for the bonus formulas too.. always entertaining and enlightening. Thumbs up!
