I own a $1, 400 gaming laptop, and a Legion Go, and if I had to choose only one of them, I would prefer to have the Legion Go mainly because it is a hand held gaming device AND it provides a full desktop experience (i connect the Legion Go to a monitor, mouse and keyboard thru a USB C dock).

Absolutely love my Legion Go! Upgraded to a 2280 SSD on mine and a egpu for the 4k TV. But when the wife hogs the TV for her K-dramas I can just use it portably. Always feels like a win with my LeGo!

Love my legion go as well! runs just about everything i throw at it and I love being able to detach controllers and have a massive screen. Just upgraded my internal SSD and I now have 3.5TB of storage in this thing!

I feel like the Gob is a perfect hybrid of the other handhelds. You have the performance of the Ally, the touchpad like a steam deck, and the detachable controllers of a switch. Top those features with the best screen out of everything listed above and it's just an amazing device

I thought the same thing about windows, it does feel loose and steamOS is nicer but windows is so much more flexible then most of the OSs out there

Once Lenovo gets the consistent support and drivers going, it'll be more of a beast. At the moment, I have a ROG Ally that I got fresh for $540, replaced the original hard drive with a full size SSD thanks to an L-bracket and love it. It's just so optimized and doing manual optimization to Windows increases the experience.

Even with that said, the Legion GO was a different experience and felt cooler, but the software and lack of polish brought me back to the Ally. Like I said, once Lenovo gets on track with support, it'll be unstoppable.

*Tip: For standby like the Steam Deck, change your power setting to hibernate, that is the windows equivalent, it'll save the system state and power the hardware down, when you turn it back on it'll boot, but will be at where you were.

A nice addition to a Go is a pair of XReal AR glasses. Not only does it project a large screen for your game but you can run software on your Go that translates the head movements to X-Y mousing and have your head movements translate to in game right stick movement, typically looking around. The Go has a gyro but I have not had a lot of success getting that to translate to left joy stick.

Hello
Do you think 16 gigabytes of RAM is enough for this device for current and future games, or should I go for the ROG Ally X? Some current games, like Hogwarts Legacy, consume a lot of RAM and cause stuttering.
Is it worth buying now with its updates for current and future games?
I prefer the Legion go more because of its larger screen and design, but the 16 GB of RAM it has makes me hesitant.

I'm a Filipino Tech reviewer, and my content is mostly Legion Go and Steam Deck. I have the legion go for 6months now It has its pros and cons but a very powerful device and can play almost very game.

Which cable you use to take sound from focusrite to the phone !?

Truestrike could be good for rts/clicker games. Strategy games are good for attention retention if you need to wait long hours without much focus drain.

You CAN install and play games on the SSD card. There's a performance hit, but the hit depends on the complexity of the game. For smaller titles, it's fine.

What's the name of the case you are using for this computer? I have not receive mine but tomorrow I should receive this pc.

Edit: Never mind, I received my Lenovo Legion Go and it came with the case.

Amazing handheld, I use it every day even over my steam deck oled. Battery not the best playing AAA games but I'm always playing at home anyway near a power outlet. The screen is epic. People say the speakers arnt great and yes when I bought it I thought that. But after a sound driver update and if you go into the sound settings and alter the equaliser to club mode it's perfectly fine. I use earphones alot anyways so the speakers arnt an issuse. It's just a great versatile device.

"Games don't load fast enough on SD cards"
Not true. If you have a fast SD card you will hardly notice any difference.
I have roughly 50% of my Steam games on an SD card, including big games like Diablo 4. Works great.
