The five love languages are words of affirmation, quality time, physical touch, act of service and gift-giving. What do you think the 6th love language is?

My therapist told me that we don't "have a love language" since we should have and show all of them. It doesn't mean that you have to force yourself but just try to apply all of them with the people you love. It shows your appreciation for them.

Interesting in the past people talked about 5 languages of love based on the book by Gary Chapman. I think it's good to noticed we're diffrent and we interpreted life in diffrent way. I like touch with tenderness, the quality time and this tiny things we do to each other, because you don't ignore yours and yours partner needs

Getting my fiancee flowers on a random day, or cooking her favourite meal. Don't just do that stuff on Valentines day.

1. Acts of service: I feel guilty for people doing things for me that I can't repay equality.
2. Words of affirmation: I don't know how to take a compliment.
3. Physical touch: Only on some occasions when I feel really touch starved.
4. Quality time: I make many situations awkward bc I am too much of a talker.
5. Gift giving: I use my artistic skills for gifts, but why have a painting when you can have a toy with fresh batteries.
6: Being known: I feel kinda neutral about it, it makes me happy, but as my love language?

I can't find one that fits me so I'm like **** it, imma make my own.

Listening and Learning.
Paying attention to what someone has to say and actually letting them finish a darn sentence before changing the subject. If they teach you something and you actively put that knowledge to use, it feels like a high on their part. My mom taught me how to crochet and how to make pom poms, so I made her a pom pom keychain with crochet mama bear ears, but because her love language is acts of service, I didn't get much of a reaction other than "thank you, that's very neat" which I'll take it. On just the listening end, my opinion/any kind of story or factoid is always muffled up by interruptions and people not actually wanting to hear what I have to say.

Me and a few friends of mine were talking about the origins of our names and where they came from, and while I was talking about mine, about halfway through my moving Shakespearean tale about love and betrayal and whatnot (I'm not even kidding I was named bc of a really tragic family story), i realized that everyone had either left the room or started their own conversations. I was talking to Jesus at that point. In my mind, I was painting a beautiful picture of a heartbreaking tale that would make mother Teresa weep, but to them I was just going on another rant and they just needed to wait it out.

For someone with this love language, the most cruel thing you could do would be to completely disregard anything they have to say. To make them feel... Unwanted...

I feel so alone that I don't even know what to say. But deep down, I know that someday, I'll find her. I'll keep working hard and grinding away, even if I'm not seeing results yet. She'll be out there, waiting for me, and when I find her, I just know that she'll be beautiful. Her love language will be an extension of my own, combining all six into something truly special. Until then, I'll keep grinding, hoping, and dreaming, because I know that true love is worth the wait.
