Hey sir, I've got another question again - I was doing a past paper question which required me to find the general solution of a second-order differential equation. The auxiliary equation I had was m = 2 and 1/2, both of which was same with the solution. However, in my answer, the order of the roots were different from that of the solution's. What I mean is that I had the order of Ae^(2t) + Be^(0.5t), but the question had Ae^(0.5t) + Be^(2t). This eventually led to me swapping all the A's and B's in the latter parts of the questions. Will I still be given marks in this case? Thanks sir!

IDK if u remember me from before in your comments but I wanted to know I smashed the Maths and Further Maths test because of you, even the questions I wouldn't expect you taught so I think I got 96% or so :) and Im watching you again in Uni as Ive forgotten everything xD

Sir, will it always be obvious when to add the x or x^2 to the P.I.? Like will it always not work in cases where you need to add the x but you don't?

hi sir how do i know which part of thr complementary function would have which m value because sometimes its Ae^2x + Be^3x
and sometimes it can be Ae^4x+Be^2x or smth
idk how to determine which m value goes with which?

Can you have compound functions for particular integrals e.g. some differentials = (3+5x)e^2x?

At 13:25 don't the arguments have to be same inside cos and sin so wouldn't they both be "bx" like

a cos (bx) + c cos (bx)?

instead of a cos (bx) + c cos (dx)
