In this video I show you how to find the solution of an initial value problem given dy/dx=lnx/xy with y(1)=2. Knowing how to solve initial value problems is important in a calculus course when it comes to differential equations. This is also an example of how to solve separable differential equations. In order to show you how to use all of the formulas on my study guide, I wanted to show a differential equation separation of variables example problem with solution. In this case we will solve the differential equation dy/dx=lnx/xy. We will do this using the separable differential equations formula.
