Not everyone cares for broccoli sprouts' flavor, which is largely due to their glucosinolate content. Whereas the glucosinolates in some vegetables are notably bitter, those found in broccoli and broccoli sprouts are much milder. Attempts to disguise the flavor of the broccoli sprout teas used in clinical trials in China eventually resulted in a palatable beverage spiked with pineapple and lime. Children with autism required a more straightforward approach: supplementation. In this clip, Dr. Jed Fahey discusses strategies for disguising the flavor of broccoli sprouts.

I got stage IV lung cancer and am taking broccoli sprouts capsules 2 x a day. Next, I'll try the addition of the broccoli smoothies too. It's amazing what you'll do/eat/drink when your life is on the line.

I dehydrate grapefruit into powder and use it to hide the taste of greens of any kind in a smoothie. Sometimes I add lemon powder too. But I love the taste of grapefruit.

The problem is you're trying to put it in a smoothie. It works well hidden in pasta, soup etc. I even grind em up with mustard after putting the sprouts in hot water. Hot V8 spicy, boiled sprouts ground with mustard, chia and flax and let it sit for 1 hr. Then eat it like soup.

Hey Dr Rhonda do You still advise to heat up sprouts before blending? Will 10 min wait AFTER blending be good for sfn?

My favorite way of eating brocolli sprouts is to eat them raw with a little mayo and fried egg. Then I cut the egg and mix with everything together with the runny yolk. I could eat this with every meal.
But maybe that makes them less palatable 🤔

I mix em with Surströmming. You won't be bothered at all anymore by the taste of the sprouts

My daughter loved raw broccoli. She would ask for it at the store. And she would take a whole peace and nibble on the edge for quite a while. Sometimes I think we need to listen to the artistic child. My daughter also likes bacon, T bone steak, and salmon. If I have these things available she will eat them. But if I wait till she's hungry she'll demand soda and peanut butter and jelly.

Add Brown Mustard powder to Sweet Baby Ray's honey Mustard dip. Dip sprouts into that or spread it over the sprouts. It improves the flavor, nd provides so extra Myrosinase to make more sulforaphne too. Making a wrap, adding Brocoli sprouts to a tuna fish salad wrap, completely hides the Broccoli Sprout taste.

I steep my broccoli sprouts as suggested by Rhonda and blend them with the water. I then use a shot glass and shoot it down followed by sucking on a lime or lemon or a small pc of fruit. Like you would tequila. It is awful tasting 🤑. It is hard to stay on track due to the taste

Would adding to a stir-fry work after it's off the heat work? I saw that around 160 degrees Fahrenheit increases sulforaphane availability.

I eat them straight, with a small amount of healthy salad dressing to distract the brain. Oil, balsamic vinegar, brown mustard, minced garlic, etc., in a shaker. I was hoping for easy, practical ways of getting broccoli sprouts into the belly, which the video did not really address.

I think grapes might be the horrid broccoli sprout taste neutralizer. Added grapes to my broccoli sprout green smoothie and I didn't gag once.

Spicy I don't mind. But mine taste distinctly bitter. Might this be b/c they are quite old? Had them in the freezer for probably 4yrs. Would the bitter be b/c they are too old?
