Amazing video. The only video if you ask me that addresses the first and major problem for wannabe digital artists, where to start, there is houdini and nuke which is industry standard, there is zbrush, there is maya, there is redshift, now unreal is getting ahead, you watch so many cgi car chase videos made in so many softwares, and are confused what to learn. This video nails the coffin of confusion. BLENDER! the software has come so far, and you can learn everything there, animation, sculpting, cloth simulation, effects, liquids simulations, everything in one spot, then you can shift to softwares that are specifically designed for each process. You can then model and design characters in zbrush, add effects in houdini, animate models in blender/maya, render your scene in unreal then composite on nuke or fusion with real footage. But before ALL this, you learn each of these basics at one spot which is blender. Amazing work my man!

Even in full CG scenes you should always do proper compositing to make the renders look like they actually come from a camera

I don't think it would fully replace things. It can only understand so much, sometimes what's in your mind has to be done the original way, it just will help to make that easier.

Here from Eds channel. Great video dude! Only comment I have relates to your presentation style. Although you are very clear I think your Scandinavian laid-backless to your voice may cause some issues here and there. Don't go crazy though, you don't need to become someone else but maybe get some more levels to it. Higher energy moments, quieter more intimate moments that sort of thing. I've subbed. I really loved your video. I have done blender tuts in the past and I've always loved VfX and your video just ignited the passion in me again to get back on the case with it! That explosion in the opening tells me that someone still needs to have a course on composting and some Houdini to add some interactive CG for the dirt hits 😂 and for compositing Israel Nuke it Davinci Fusion (I start to really like the latter and that coming from a 16 year long Nuke user).

Blender is definitely industry standard in lots of production companies. At least in LA. Might be different in other countries

bro, I prefer 3DSMAX, Maya, but for After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop, those are my skills after 3D VFX, but for you, maybe it varies, maybe I like it because among you, they like Blender or Cinema 4D software, those are also good.

Keep up the great videos bro, your video quality is really good, which camera are you using?, plus I really encourage you to learn even the basics of a node based workflow like fusion or nuke, once I learned them, I feel the limitation once I use AE 😆I'm mainly a compositor so if you not interested so much in compositing and use it simply, AE is the way to go
