I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints and the only programming is..
That we are free to choose but not free to choose consequences.
To be free thinkers while studying and praying and not what to think.
To be the best version of ourselves.
Love knowing that my testimony came from a vision before I even went to church . My first visit to the church was to be baptized.

I'm a convert from Protestantism. The Holy Spirit has testified to me that the BoM is true and only with the restored Gospel do we have an understanding on how much Heavenly Father and Christ truly love us!

I think it’s very interesting that this guy who left the church, he do that so he could “be happy and allow his son to be happy, ” right ? and yet he is not happy, on the contrary, he is someone who is spending a substantial amount of time to try to debunk the truthfulness of a religion which it’s prophet received revelations such as
1.
The word of wisdom:( remember, people smoked openly until the 70’ when they finally caught up with Joseph.)
2. He brought the book os Mormon to light and now more than ever archeological are finding evidence of it.
3. Under the guidance of Heavenly Father he organized a religion that have apostles and prophets and The priesthood.
4. Storage. Now the world is catching up with us but it all come from the prophets of the Lord and it all true.
Anyone can leave the church and go in their merry way, but they can’t leave the church alone. If this guy is so happy as he left the church to be, why the disdain against the church? And no, it’s not because he wants to “help people.” That he is doing so. If it was he could have talked about other religions as well such as Catholicism, Scientology or Islam for instance. But no, he has to come back and vomit from the plate he ate from. What a shame! What an unhappy and bitter person!

"Are Latter-day Saints brainwashed?" No, and not every ex-mormon is the hero they think themselves to be. Next question.

Anties and Exmoes come up with all kinds of excuses to try to validate their leaving.

Remember that it is necessary to be kind to people who leave the church :) its not as simple as "not enough faith" or "lazy" people are very complex and everyone is a son or daughter of God. I am empathetic to those who go through such a significant hardship as leaving Christs church, I hope they know they are still good people and loved by Heavenly Father.
Alma 1:30 "...therefore they were liberal to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, whether out of the church or in the church, having no respect to persons as to those who stood in need."

As a teenager I learned about a few different churches. This was the only church where I was taught doctrines and principles then asked to pray and study it for myself.

I've been both and active member and an inactive member and back to an active member and I am not brainwashed. I've made both kinds of choices and the true freedom in life comes from following the gospel. The rules don't hold you back they set you free. I get my confirmations from God so if you're about reply to tell me I'm wrong you better be God or I'm just gonna laugh at you.

Thank you! It’s frustrating being reduced to a fool, or duped, or ignorant when I choose to believe. ☀️💕
I try to give those who choose not to believe respect… I wish they could do the same.

Deconstructing a religion is a very difficult and painful experience. The teachings were woven into every part of me. It was who I was on every level. That takes a long time to deconstruct and change my thought patterns.

It took me two years to finally understand that a bishop had no authority over me. He had no access to God I couldn’t have for myself. I was surprised to find out how deeply this core belief ran. This is just one example of how my thought patterns changed as I deconstructed.

I don’t know if brainwashed is the right word, but we are conditioned to accept authority. We don’t ask real questions from our leaders. We don’t get financial statements. We don’t know how much of a stipend top leaders get. We accept hiding money in shell companies. We accept internally produced documents as truth. We accept rapidly changing doctrine and rewritten history. We operate on feelings rather than fact. Conditioned is the minimal word to describe what happens to members.

Galatians 1:8 *"But though we, or an ANGEL from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."* Paul was warning us about false religions that would spring up. Mormonism is a false religion.

Thank you Master for your son and faithful servant Joseph Smith and your perfect church. ❤

I get it. I went through the same thing. My whole reality changed. I no longer had a filter that I looked through to interpret the world. This is a common sentiment expressed by those who leave high demand totalist organizations in which they give you a new reality. When you lose that it really does take some time. It's very difficult

I am currently exploring the church with a baptism date set for a little over a month from now. One assumption I've heard from people is that Joseph Smith made up everything written in the Book Of Mormon. Joseph was barely educated. He probably couldn't even write his own name. How could he possibly make up everything written in the Book of Mormon if he only had a lower grade elementary school education? That assumption always stumps me because it doesnt make sense. I couldn't even make up half of what is written in the Book Of Mormon and i graduated highschool

He never implied anybody was brainwashed. He said that HE needed to rewire his brain after HE believed the teachings for 20+ years. Also, anybody that believes in the teachings of any religion has been objectively “indoctrinated.” That’s simply the definition of the word. Your full reaction video was great but you sure put a lot of words in Jonny’s mouth that he didn’t say. He alluded to things, sure, but it wasn’t until the last few minutes of his video that he actually gave his own opinion. The rest, albeit not super detailed, was just a history of the religion

Thank you so much for reposting this! This is one of the best videos I have seen! A lot of good comments and while subjective, at least from my perspective I thought you were very respectful to Johnny. I get it, I was in his shoes at one point But I'm very grateful that I kept praying and asking for help and for me, reading the Book of Mormon and learning both sides of each of the arguments.

After years of rewiring. So he admits that he changed the story. When I sit down and discuss the LDS doctrine with others they always seem to agree with me.

Programming is done in the LDS Church; it is how they tell the stories or present the doctrine. How many members actually will go to the sources to seek the answer themselves. Case in point in Balck in the Priesthood. It is now being presented that it was NOT doctrine yet if you go back to the sources in clear it WAS doctrine.

I’ve learned something today, when people doubt and slander the church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I realized they don’t know anything for example “how do you know the Bible is true?” “Were you there?” “Did you see Jesus walk?” I can go on and on!!! Personally I came to also realize that I don’t know for a surety that the BOM and the LDS Church is true. I don’t know if the Bible is true. But, what I do know is that I have faith these things are true. I yield to faith when logic wants to drive by. If skeptics would only yield to faith about Joseph Smith and all the above, seeking with spiritual eyes and ears, they would come to see and hear the spiritual witness of the truth. Logic destroys faith in Gospel Truths but faith in gospel truths are spiritual!!! If only people would stop using logic of Bible scripture to disprove the BOM, JS, and the LDS church, they would spiritually come to know that the kingdom of god is here on earth this final time. No one says anyone has to believe it, all we ask is to have a lil faith and test it faithfully by checking your logic at the door. I’ll reiterate that spirituality is greater than logic and give us a chance!!!

He doesn't use the words "rewiring" and "programming" for no reason.. and I'm talking about the idea that he is coming from a certain direction that has a perspective unique to him
