Truly appreciate you spending the time to make this series, there is essentially nothing on the Vulcan drill press out there and it is no longer purchasable. I was able to find out that both the spindle/quill assembly and the down feed are still available, which in a sense is perhaps as good of a solution as any since apparently there was quality control issues with the T-slots on the Vulcan table, so my interest was always to buy a Vulcan and then buy a Voyager table. This is the other way around but same thing in the end. While I know it isn't your intent in all this but would be really curious to see it actually mill something. Something simple like just slotted holes would be good since honestly with it still being a round column drill press at heart is probably the obvious thing it should be able to do. So Part 4? For anything much more complicated than that, well I am saving up for a PM Mill.

Nice group of videos on the Voyager/Vulcan. How do you like the laser on the drill press?

Hello! Hey, long story short... I have a Vulcan spindle on its way from Nova, but they no longer have any downfeed attachments. They said every once in a while one will pop up online for sale, would you know of anyone that might have one, for sale? I know I'm not the first to ask, but it is worth trying. Great video series, thank you, Chuck.

Are you worried that side loads on the chuck during milling operations might cause the arbor to dislodge without a nut holding it in place, especially at higher speeds?

Has anybody determined for sure if the Vulcan is actually discontinued?
