The Water Filter I Recommend

The importance of clean water is finally coming to the forefront, and it’s about time. Toxic water is not limited to Southern California dealing with Hexavalent Chromium and Flint, Michigan’s lead crisis. Toxins like microbes, pesticides, plastics, prescription meds, metals, chlorine, fluoride and others are poisoning our water supply. The scary fact is that many of these toxins have been shown to cause cancer, birth defects, cardiovascular effects, reproductive problems and more. Drinking water straight from the tap is no longer an option.

My concern is the use of plastic with this or any other water filter.

Weird because I tried this with my Aqutrue at home and it didn't do this. It didn't turn the Diet coke into water. Also this doesn't show the total TDS after running it with this filter. That's the only thing that matters.

We've had Aquatru for a year. We live in a typical city in Florida...not rural, not well water. Our filters never last more than 2 weeks. Aquatru replaced our unit 3 times...each time the filtration time started out fast...20 minutes, but after 2 weeks was taking 3 hours to fill the fill cabinet. We trashed our unit and now use purchased RO water from a health food store...The Aquatru experiment was a waste of time and money.

Look at the time laps between 4:07 and 4:09. The coke reservoir doesn't change but the clear side water almost doubles. Something fishy going on

The problem with this test is that they didn't actually test the water after they put the diet coke into the pitchers. They just said the Aqua Tru LOOKS clear. Put it to the real test and show a water meter reading.

The only thing this proved was how clear the water looked. Maybe water clarity=Purity, but I'd like to see test results for contaminants, such as Chlorine & Fluoride. I've heard there could be as many as 30 contaminants in drinking water. A test that tested for many contaminants would show how well it removes each contaminant. jmho.

Why would you endorse a product with such horrible customer service? I ordered this water filter on 3/14/2017 with no response from Aquatruwater other than confirming the order. I sent out an email on 4/2 for a status and they finally said it was on back order. After that, no response from them. I emailed them again on 4/13 to see if I can get a refund and they responded with the date it will be mailed. No apology, no information on cancelling. I sure hope this never breaks down and I need service. If you can't get customer service when you order a product, how can you get customer service if you need help from them??

I'm glad I chose this brand over the Puricom. This is so much more easy to use, especially with the filter changing. The Puricom is almost double the price.

My choice is Epic Water Filters. The filters cost a fortune, but they last 3, 4, 5 times longer than most of the competition. It also takes out more contaminants than most. A Great choice methinks. 🧐

You don't add to the waste water tank after filtering. You must dispose of the contents of the waste water tank before refilling it.

On the diet coke filtered water how did it taste? Just because it's clear there might still be flavor from contaminating chemicals. Was there any artificial sweetener sweetness or other chemicals you can taste? Did that one test blow out the life span of the filter?

Dr Hyman I'm wondering why you recommend a product that uses plastic? The replacement for BPA is highly toxic, which you already know.

AquaTru sent me a defective unit.  Then, another with the same defect, can't install the filters.  Refund ??  Only about $18.

I purchased the aquatru through your link. I just received it and it filters for 20 seconds then stops. the only way it will finish a gallon is if i switch it on and off. does that make sense or am i doing something wrong

I purchased a gravity water filtration system. .... the Aqua Rain.... I love it. No electricity needed. Two containers sitting on top of one another. The top has the filters in it... the only system that I know of that lets you know WHEN you need to get new filters. This I would not use if you gave it to me. Sorry

I'm honestly looking for a good water filter and i keep finding IDIOTS testing filters, one was STUPID enough to drill a hole in the filter b/c it was 2 SLOW
