I've had a hernia in my belly button before from chronic over eating (bodybuilding.) It was scary! Like a long 'balloon' style finger of skin popping out. The operation is fairly routine though, but i did have a big ol' GASH instead of a belly button for awhile. Took a year for my belly button to reappear. Not recommended!
