Never get an HOA, it's not some of them, it's almost all. Also if everything looks clean and tidy it could just mean the HOA has a stick up their ass and fines the neighborhood so much that the people living there has to keep everything in perfect condition.

So you have to pay to the people who can basically not do anything and they also get to trespass on your property. I love Amarica

You are never good with and HOA. Why? Because the board, and the management company they hire, can and do change. We had a great place for 20 plus years, wonderful place, with many of us rotating to serve on the board. Then it happened. We got the a couple of people who ruined it in short order.
