Kale should be cooked in some way for ease of digestion, including chewing. Also recommend it be chopped finely. You can also purchase digestive enzyme capsules to help with whatever you're eating, just don't overdo it - and be cautious with Serrapeptase, it's very powerful. Consider using a food processor. If you really must have kale in your diet, try running it through the food processor and see how that works.

The highest known source of these compounds is in broccoli sprouts, which are pretty easy to grow at home. You can find many videos showing how.

For sure!! We eat about 6 of these greens listed per week. Interestingly enough, it brings up the whole "chew your food well before swallowing, " lesson, your parents would always tell you as a kid. Thanks once again, Plant Based Science London. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!!

Or you could sprout your own broccoli in a mason jar. It's not a lot of work, but be sure to give the seeds a rinse in vinegar (any kind; white is cheapest) to kill off any mold spores.

Thanks!! What about adding mustard powder to it? I'm surprised that Dr. Fuhrman did not mention this.

Is there anyone who can explain to me how it is possible that an enzyme, in this case myrosinase, can pass the intensely acidic stomach where all proteins, including enzymes that are proteins, are denatured and therefore can never reach the intestines in an active form. How can the statement in this video be correct?

How about green juice? In the blender is the same as chewing?

Thanks, so what you are saying is to eat two types of cruciferous vegetables, is that it? Does kale have to be cooked?

So I guess if I add kale to my fruit smoothie in my Nutribullet, I'm getting its full health benefits as it's uncooked and completely chopped up. Is that right?

What about eating raw cruciferous microgreens? Do you know if cruciferous SPROUTS contain the necessary glucosinolates and isothiocyanates found in the raw adult cruciferous vegetables? Thank you!
