tom is correct, the ontological is one of the worst arguments for a deity. it`s basically just trying to define a deity into existence, tom did a nice job of showing the obvious flaws in the argument

It seems that the properties of greatness need to be argued in a more convincing way for this Ontological Argument to be more persuasive.
Why are the properties of maximum knowledge, power and goodness the greatest properties?

Metaphysically speaking anything could be assumed.

I have two questions for you that I'd like some clarification on:
* Do you accept that an reduction ad absurdum tells us something about how good an argument is?
* Do you accept that if the same argument could be used for something obviously false and contradictory defeats the argument?

Do you agree numbers, languages, logics are abstract things used to describe reality?
How can a mind without a physical body be plausible?

it stll does not detract from the possiblity that there maybe something behind this all. I dont know what it may or could be but from my standpoint im edging towards that there could be something. I just dont know. Now im not talking about GOD . That idea does not come into my equation.
