I absolutely DESPISE discs, and love cups, but my bestie DESPISES cups and loves discs. It goes to show how every body is a whole new world and how you shouldn't let other people's opinion influence your choices when it's about your body ✨️

I broke my shoulder 2 weeks ago and have been in a sling with an abduction pillow since then. Been using cups for a long time and tried a disc last year. I had my period last week and the disk was a life saver. I could insert and remove it with one hand. Still bought a box of tampons just in case though. There's no way I could insert and remove a cup right now.

I reach as far as I can with my index and then pinch and pull down. I haven't had an issue with that method yet

Seems it would hurt especially if you have nails. I need to try mine again I think I would prefer a disc.

I started my period a couple days ago. Would you recommend one over the other for teens? Obviously it will be different for everybody, but is there on that may be more convenient for school, or may just be more comfortable?

My disc feels like it is suctioned. It also causes me quite a bit of pain and cramping.

I just don't see a overweight woman like myself ever being able to do this. You either have to be a contortionist or be on the small side.
